In December of 2007 a friend of mine gave me a small book for Christmas. I took the information in this book, and have fashioned what may very well be equal to a magic elixir. If you or someone you know is suffering from any kind of malady, or is in the healing process, I can’t urge you strongly enough to have them try Word Water! I’ve used it for 3 years and have seen miracles occur in my body. This past Christmas I asked my husband, if I made him some, would he drink it; when he said “yes” rather enthusiastically I knew the time had come to tell this story and share my experience with the world.

The Hidden Messages in Water

The book, “The Hidden Messages in Water,” by the Japanese scientist Masaru Emoto, documents the effects of the power of words on water. I like to say, “it’s the same idea as talking to your plants,” since that resonates with a lot of folks my age. And it is. Basically. The same idea: talk nice-get nice. Talk bad-get bad.

That’s actually all life is really about isn’t it?

You get what you give; isn’t that what we’ve been taught?

What Masaru Emoto documents is this: if you subject water to kind, loving words, or beautiful music, then freeze the water-you get beautiful crystals. If you speak nastily to the water, or play mean music, then freeze that water, you get malformed crystals.

He also documents a “memory” capacity of water.

As it happened, when I was given this book, I was suffering from a number of physical problems, and preparing for upcoming hip replacement surgery, scheduled for February 1, 2008. Because the human body is, on average, 60% water, and because certain organs or parts of our body are much higher, like muscles at 75% or blood at 92% I wondered what would happen if I were to consume “Word Water” on a regular basis – if it would help with my recovery or speed my healing. I figured, if I made Word Water, shown loving and grateful words describing me, and then drank that water, I might see improved results. As it happens, the friend of mine who gave me the book, had already wrapped words around her water crock; so I am not first with the idea. This is simply, MY story. My SUCCESS Story. :)

This 33.5 oz glass bottle is perfect!

I purchased 3 large glass bottles with screw off tops.(1) I soaked them t remove the labels, and washed them well. Using my computer, I made a horizontal or landscape page that reads “MyName’s body is totally healed and perfect and MyName is filled gratitude, appreciation and love.” (1a) I printed 3 copies out, each with a different color font. 1 page, green; 1 page purple; and 1 page purple and green lines alternating. I like the qualities of these colors, rotating the colors allows me to keep track of the bottles. I laminated the sheets, wrapped them around the bottles and taped them to make cylinder sleeves that slide on and off easily (but they’re snug enough to stay on when carrying them).(2)

Sleeved bottle of Word Water

I filled the bottles with the best water I could find, which, luckily for me, comes out of my tap. For those of you who choose to fashion your own Word Water, and rely on municipal water sources, I do would suggest seeking better water sources, if possible. This is true, especially if you are healing a specific injury or illness. (3) (While I am filling or refilling the bottles, I focus on the words and think about how grateful I am, which adds a little ritual into each day too; a few moments to stop, say “Thank you” and think about how blessed we are.)

I put the first sleeved bottles (and any new bottles I make)  in my fridge for about 72 hours. Then, each day, for most of the past 3 years, I’ve drunk from 2 or 3 bottles of this water every day. (The only time I’ve missed has been during very brief periods of travel. Very brief as the years have worn on, because I now travel with my Word Water, or at a minimum my laminated sheets and I make some as soon as I get where I’m going.)

Here’s how I drink it (But you can use your Word Water however works best for you. A lot of people say “I don’t like water,” and I say, drink it as lemonade, drink it as juice, drink it as coffee or tea – just DRINK IT! (4) :) (Although I believe cool beverages are the best use of Word Water, if the only way you can consume water is as coffee, or hot tea, then, by all means,  do that!! :)

Lead free stainless steel drinking bottle

I have  24 oz.  lead-free stainless steel bottles with nipple tops – I use a few drops of zero calorie liquid Stevia as sweetener, a few generous dashes of Key Lime juice, then fill the bottle with Word Water, cap and drink. Limeaide Word Water.

2-3 bottles a day means I’m drinking 48-72 oz. of Word Water a day.  I shoot for 64 ounce consumption each day, to be sufficiently hydrated. Because water has a memory, I never empty the bottles. (5) I fill my 24 ounce drinking bottle, which leaves about 8 ounces in the bottom of the glass Word Water bottle. I then remove the sleeve, re-fill with water, re-sleeve and replace in the fridge for 24 hours (always remove the sleeves when refilling, it preserves the sleeves). If you want ice, you don’t have to refrigerate the water, it can get “educated” in the fridge or out and after the appropriate education period,  pour into ice trays and freeze.  My husband wants to fashion ice trays that have words in them; but we haven’t gotten that far yet.

Save some Smart Water to teach the new water

By leaving some Word Water in the bottom of the glass bottle, I “jump-start” the learning of the freshly added water since it mixes with the “smart” already educated Word Water already in the bottle and is instantly “informed.” As time goes by, this water is becoming smarter and smarter.

Stainless steel bottle with thermal sleeve

What I’ve experienced is this: I healed amazingly quickly from my hip surgery. All the doctors, therapists and nurses told me my recovery was excellent, and there were often remarks about how well, and how fast, the wound was healing. My scar is hardly noticeable now, just 3 years later-this is remarkable. I recently looked in the mirror (I don’t normally, we don’t have any around, but I was in a hotel room) – and I had a hard time finding the scar! Me! I know right where it is and it’s 10″ long!!!

Anyway…since I’ve started drinking Word Water, anything and everything that’s happened to my body in the way of injury has healed quickly, and my health and stamina is significantly boosted. I am healthy and robust as I have not been since my early teens. I’ve always had an elevated white count, so my physical problems have tended to be more mechanical than illness. I was one mechanically sick individual most of the time.

Now, if I twist an ankle, or slip on the ice and fall, or bump into something, stub a toe, cut myself, etc., what I experience, is like a miracle. A twisted ankle might hurt in the moment-but the pain vanishes quickly and within hours, or by morning, I’ve completely forgotten which ankle. If I cut myself, the wound heals in just a day or so. I also seem less “susceptible” to injury, if that’s possible. For example, there are always dog bones around on the floor of our house for me to twist my ankles on – but I roll over them now, with a flexibility unknown previously.

Long before my hip surgery, going back to my 40s, 30s, and even 20s, I’ve had many physical problems. Even my childhood was riddled with physical ailments. As an adult, my body was “creaky and cracky.” So numerous and significant were some of these ailments, that I sought out some radical treatments in some cases; and in some cases they worked on a very specific physical problem, but overall, the physical problems just seemed to keep on coming.

Prior to my hip surgery, I was having problems with my bladder. I’d suffered from indigestion from childhood, and it was as bad as it has ever been. I’d been living in pain for so long I didn’t remember life any other way; pain was simply a way of life for me. In the final years before the hip replacement, the pain was so severe, I had a prescription for Ibuprofen so I could afford it in the quantities I was taking ($4 at Walmart for a 30 day supply, taking 800mg a day).

Now, I live a pain free existence; rarely, if ever, taking Advil or the like.  My prescription, long lapsed. My body does not creak and crack; my joints don’t hurt (although I can still tell when low pressure is arriving); I have no awareness of my artificial hip and barely have a scar (and I did not have the “small scar” style of surgery!); I feel better than I ever have.

I attribute at least 80% of the way I feel to my Word Water and the other 20% to my attitude. I BELIEVE. I will suggest to you, that if you too will believe it possible, believe it works, it WILL work for you too!

I feel confident enough about this, that I have started making 3 bottle sets and giving them to people locally who express an interest and desire. For the first 100 people who respond to this post, I’ll send you a set of customized laminated sheets for you or someone you know who is trying to heal, or who just wants to feel better in general.

I urge everyone to try drinking Word Water – feel better, get healthy! What have you got to lose (other than aches and pains)?! Adopting an “Attitude of Gratitude,” in addition to drinking Word Water, is the prescription to a happy, healthy, bountiful life.

Please give us any feedback you have from your experience with Word Water! Ask questions! I’m here to help! We have received feedback from one person already, who has been using Word Water for a few weeks : “My word water is working! :)

(1) The original bottles, and what I found ideal, were Safeway’s Organic Sparkling beverage (in assorted other flavors) 33.5 oz. They’re making those bottles out of plastic now, and I recommend using glass if possible, so you can feel confident there’s no unknown influence from the bottles themselves. Clear glass is also preferable, but in a fit of desperation I’ve made do with Pellingrino green bottles. I’d probably go with black ink for the words if I HAD to use green glass bottles. In that case I soak the labels off with the water still in the new bottles, then wrap with words wait 72 hours then start them in the cycle. I will purchase whatever, just for the right bottles, and will pour whatever down the sink if I can’t a good use for it. Often I’ll fill ice trays with the sparkling juice, or whatever, freeze and use in punch later.

1a) I have since changed my wording a little to “InsertName’s body is totally healed and perfect, youthful and energetic, and InsertName is filled with gratitude, appreciation and love.” For young people who are not healing from anything I omit those words and it reads “InsertName’s body is perfect, youthful and energetic and InsertName is filled with gratitude, appreciation and love.”

Carry your bottles carefully

DO NOT carry this way! The bottle can slip out!!

(2) Be careful when carrying the bottles, and do NOT carry them by grabbing them by the sleeve because the bottle can fall out the bottom, and I don’t want people having to deal with cleaning up broken glass!

Carry carefully and always remove sleeve when refilling!

(3) the purity of the water we consume should be of great concern to us all. In addition to it being a good idea to avoid plastics and products containing lead, for your water vessels, there are no methods to remove pharmaceuticals from municipal water systems. (It’s my contention that this is why we have a number of the health problems we do.) Try to use glass and the purest water you can get your hands on.

(4) If you are not used to drinking water, please be sure to take into account the calorie content of anything you should “make” with your water (some juice or iced tea mixes have lots of sugar) Liquid Stevia is our choice for a safe, natural, calorie free, sweetener. You can freeze your water to make ice cubes.

I always keep some "starter" Smart Word Water

(5) occasionally I do have to clean the bottles. Over time some sediment may form on the bottoms of the bottles. When this happens, after filling my drinking bottle, instead of re-filling the glass bottle, I pour off as much of the remaining “smart” water as I can, preserving it – but avoid getting sediment (even just a little “starter” is good start, lol). When the bottles are clean, I replace the smart water that I saved, top that off with fresh, re-sleeve, and wait 24 hours before using (if you’re not able to keep some starter, then wait 72 hours before first use). I can often go 6 months or more between washings; it will vary for everyone depending on the water used. (Ours is cold well water). To clean a narrow necked bottle such as those pictured, use dry beans or bbs in the bottom of the bottle with a little white vinegar; swirling them around will clean the bottom. Dump and wash bottle well before refilling. (I like to run them through the dishwasher as a final cleansing.)

Till next post, I wish you wellness and happiness,

We’re surrounded with a lot of distractions in daily life, so it’s easy to see how we’ve lost our way. Region, mass religion, has become watered down and boiler plate; and Kings and politicians have been heavy-handed with their edits and omissions, leaving us dis-empowered. Modern religion, in my opinion has become all about control of the masses; very little of it is pure spiritual teaching.

What most people don’t realize, is that if you start with any religion, and trace it all the way back in time, to the beginning, to the very beginning, you end up in the same place, as every other religion. True story!

Scientists and quantum physicists have proven what the truly spiritual have always known: we are all one, we are all connected. True story!

To take this a step further, there is no such thing as time. Time is something we’ve created to have the physical experience. True story!

In REALITY, everything is happening at once. It’s all now. Past, present, future, and we’re all connected, all one. I realize, these statements may rock your world. I don’t intend for this to upset, but rather to enlighten.

It’s all just energy, everything. Nothing is solid, everything is particles in motion. Particles communicate….particles separated by vast distances, communicate. We are made up of particles. We KNOW this. We know ALL of this.

We don’t act like we know these things though. Even though it’s all right here for us, few people, it seems to me, act on this knowledge.

Always one to test the limits, I set out, about three years ago, to live a life aware of these things, at all times, as much as is possible. I work to stay completely focused on these ideas. This is my reality and my religion. I spend a lot my time simply repeating my 10 words, to keep my energy pure, keep my vibration high, and to keep my mind from wandering.  I strive to remember my connection to everything around me.

After 3 years of dedication, I am here to tell you: “You should try it!”

:D

Till next post, I wish you wellness and happiness,

Flip side of the "Whole Perfect" Card

Last post I shared my “10 little words” with you. Once I decided to take control of my thoughts, I chose those 10 words (borrowed from Rhonda Byrne)so that I would have something short and simple to focus my mind on.

After I’d memorized my 10 words, and they’d become rather imprinted on my mind, I flipped my little card over, and expanded my repertoire to include one other, longer, “mantra,” that I also found in Rhonda Byrnes’ “The Secret.”

“I am God in a physical body,
I am spirit in the flesh,
I am eternal life expressing itself as me
I am a cosmic being
I am all power
I am all wisdom
I am all intelligence
I am perfection
I am magnificence
I am the creator, creating the creation of me on this planet.”

It’s fantastic, isn’t? To think that those things might be true. Hard to believe; especially that it’s true for all of us. But it is. True. For All of US.

That’s the reality of reality; the real secret is that we are all one.

Till next time, wishing you wellness and happiness,

P.s. I welcome your comments and questions. The link is at the top of this post.

Last post I quoted Buddha: “Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.”

From the moment we wake each day, till we lay our head down at the end to sleep, our brains are going non-stop. I decided to take my learning to heart, and take control of my thoughts. REAL control. Although I’ve studied my entire life to understand how life works, and what life is all about, it was not until this particular moment in my life that I truly understood the level at which the “watching of my thoughts with care,” mattered.  I suddenly wondered if this was not the most important lesson ever taught, and if so, how ignorant modern man has become.

I decided the only way I would ever know, for sure, for myself, if Buddha’s words (“The thought manifests as the word. The word manifests as the deed. The deed develops into habit. And the habit hardens into character. So watch the thought, and its ways with care. And let it spring from love, born out of concern for all beings.”) were the most important words ever written, would be to test the theory.  Although there are lots of how-tos about getting a parking space you want, or improving your monetary situation, they seem like techniques that get used in passing, not a way of life.  What I wanted, was to make living in the moment, in the present, watching my thoughts with care, at all times, my new habit. Hence my character would flourish and harden into a caring being living in the moment. Was it possible, I wondered.

So I set out to devise a PLAN for taking control. Here’s what I came up with:

Using some phrases from the book “The Secret,” I made small, business card size signs and laminated them. My intention was to memorize these specific phrases, chosen very specifically for their combination of words. I put the cards in my pocket, in my wallet, taped them to my dashboard in the car, on the bathroom mirror, on the refrigerator. My commitment to myself was that I would think these thoughts and ONLY these thoughts. EVER. Now, obviously, I must have other thoughts or I’d never get anything done. The point is this – I set out to never let my mind wander or be unproductive anymore. If I’m not thinking on something necessary, then I’m thinking my phrases.

Whenever I was faced with an idle moment, I’d repeat the phrases. The #1 phrase, and only phrase needed is this:

“I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious, and happy.”

small business card size laminated

Those 10 little words have completely changed my life. I urge you to try this for yourself; my only caution to you is this: do not change this phrase.  You may feel uncomfortable saying some of these words about yourself, or you may want to add some other words.  If you are uncomfortable saying that you are perfect and powerful, for example, it’s important that you get comfortable, because you are these things, and it’s important to understand that.  Avoid adding words that may muddy the message to your subconscious.

When I tell you this is all I think about now, I’m not kidding. It’s like an endless tape running in my mind. When I’m walking, I say it in time to my steps, when I’m driving, or doing dishes, or cleaning, it’s running through my mind. I’ve set it to music and often belt it out in song (when no one is around!). I have a few carefully selected “mantras” that I use, and I’ll share these in a later post, but for the most part, these 10 little words are all I need to stay focused.

If you need help making your own cards or info on where to get the supplies, please let me know, I’d be happy to help.

Till next post -  Wishing you health and wellness!

Coming soon my magic elixir, Word Water!

I welcome your comments and questions.

Of all the words ever written, I think the best, most concise, words ever recorded about the nature and purpose of life were those of Buddha (c.563-c.483 BC):

“The thought manifests as the word. The word manifests as the deed. The deed develops into habit. And the habit hardens into character. So watch the thought, and its ways with care. And let it spring from love, born out of concern for all beings.”

When you break this quote down, it covers almost everything.

“Thought manifests as the word.” – Nothing exists until it exists in thought, and with thought it becomes expressed with words, either turned over in the mind, or tripping off our tongues. Thoughts are things, and they have their own energy, and a great amount of power because they are the inception of creation.

“The word manifests as the deed. The deed develops into the habit. And the habit hardens into character.” – now we have arrived at the heart of things! The habit hardens into character. This may be the one fact of life most overlooked. The habit hardens into character!

“So watch the thought and its ways with care. And let it spring from love, born out of concern for all beings.” – Let the thought spring from love;  makes perfect sense if we are all one and connected, which in my world, we are.

I had an epiphany one day in the spring of 2007, when I realized how to put this all together. How to harden my character into what I wanted, through focusing my thoughts, making a habit of controlling my thoughts. But how; how to do that?

Buddha again has the answer: “Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.”

At that point, I had nothing to loose. I was at the end of my rope. My pain was unbearable; it had reached a point where simply standing was more than I could handle. I couldn’t go on as I was.  I vowed to throw my entire being into living as Buddha suggested, by watching my thoughts with care, realizing that ultimately it was my character that was at stake.

Coming up in the next few posts, I’ll spell out exactly how I set out to take control of my thoughts.

Till next post, wishing you health and happiness!

I welcome your comment and questions.

Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense. BUDDHA

What is my “secret?” In one sense, that’s not the easiest thing to answer. I’ve worked my entire life to get to this point, so a lot has gone into making me who and what I am today. At the same time, it’s ultimately a very simple answer: I control my thoughts. In my last post I said I “flipped a switch,” because I already knew what I needed to do. I’d even been doing it. I’ve studied my entire life, searching for answers. What I did that was new, was to go from practicing the principles in a haphazard fashion, to becoming “obsessed” with practicing the principles. It’s one obsession I urge you to become addicted to!

The Secret by Rhonda Byrne

In the book “The Secret,” and many others, there are many suggestions of techniques to use – mostly revolving around visualization; and I’ve used these techniques for years. Visualizing parking spaces, or who is on the other end of the ringing phone. Back in the 80s Shakti Gawain wrote several books on creative visualization, and I resolved a home purchase once, in great part I believe, using her techniques.

I was like most people I think. I’d “practice techniques,” and see results, and then relax and go back to doing things as “normal” (floating, unfocused) until the next “big” issue came along that I would find myself struggling with. Then I’d refresh my memory, practice the techniques, work through whatever, and again, relax and go back to “normal.”

In 2007 I was near what I felt was an end of some kind. I was in so much pain I could barely walk, and I was experiencing so much indigestion I could barely bend over. Cleaning my cabins was an excruciatingly painful activity for me. Here I was in one of the most beautiful places on earth, married to the man of my dreams, I had created the business of my dreams, and yet, pain filled my every moment, waking and sleeping. I was at my wit’s end; I didn’t understand any of it. I felt as if everything in my life had quite purposefully brought me right to where I was, but that I had reached a point beyond which I could not go. How could I be “self-employed” when I couldn’t do the work that needed to be done and didn’t make enough to hire someone to do it for me.

It IS true that life always provides the answer we seek, we only need to ask. Sometime in the spring of ’07 three people in the period of a week mentioned the movie “The Secret” to me and encouraged me to see it. So there I was, cleaning my waterfront cabins and thinking hard about this soundtrack I was listening to (“The Secret” movie soundtrack) and a lightbulb went off in my head.

What I was listening to was nothing new, but the new thought was this: What would happen if a person took this information to heart, and lived a life of totally controlled thoughts – not just when one was having trouble, but ALL the time?

Three years later, I’m here to tell you. Magnificence, that’s what happens!

So stay tuned for my next post, and here’s to your wellness and happiness!

I welcome your thoughts and comments.

Thank You Dear Reader,

Perhaps you’ve heard the saying “thoughts are things,” or that we have 60,000 thoughts a day. There have been scores of books written on the nature of life, on how our brains work, on the subject of positive thinking and on the subject of healing. I don’t claim to have read them all by any means, but given my life long quest for meaningful answers about life, I’ve read  many. I have also listened to more than my fair share of books on tapes.

Ultimately, life all tends to boil down to this: As you ask, and feel, and believe, you will receive.

The Secret by Rhonda Byrne

As I mentioned in my last post, several years ago Rhonda Byrne made a movie called “The Secret” wherein she capsulized all the most important teachings of history. They all boil down into that statement. In her book, with the help of others, she shows us how to solve all our problems (health, wealth, relationship, etc.), through application of these principles. Ask, really feel having it, believe it to be already yours, and you will be given what you ask for. Anything.

In addition to the movie, there is a book version, and the soundtrack to the movie on CD. I have all 3 versions. I think I’ve only watched the movie once, but I refer to the book often (it’s a very nicely done publication, easy to handle and rich with style and content.) I keep the CDs in the car and listen to them often during long car rides.

It isn’t that there is anything new in her materials, in fact she goes back to the beginning of recorded history. What has happened for me, is that with the aid of these materials, and the presentation she has given them, I finally got it! As I have mentioned, it isn’t that I didn’t know these things before, I did. I’m familiar with all the concepts. I’ve used many of these techniques my whole life; but I didn’t truly GET it until just a few years ago, and I “flipped” my switch.

It REALLY matters how you think, and what you think about.

Till next post – wishing you happiness and health!

I welcome your comments and questions.

Thank you dear reader,
Namaste`

Where to start…it’s been my dilemma with this Blog, then, a friend of mine called me after just having dinner together the night before. She wanted to know everything I had done to effect this “transformation” she’s seen in me.

I can, and eventually will, say a lot more about the hows and the whys of my decisions and the changes they’ve brought about, in me and around me; my “transformation.” It seems the most important thing at the moment though, is to share the nuts and bolts of my behavior, my actions, and the practical ”tools” I use, so that others begin to benefit. As my friend pointed out, whatever it is I’m doing is clearly working. She’s not the only one to make these remarks. I have had the framework of this Blog sitting here, because of similar feedback, but I’ve been struggling with where, or how to start.

I’ll start with the tools I use and will work the background in as it fits. To effect change in your life, I ask you to suspend your beliefs for a while, and be willing to adopt some new habits. I won’t tell you it will be easy; to effect change you must be patient, and focused. What I will tell you is this: I “flipped a switch” in my approach to life  3 years ago, and at this point I’m pain free and feel as energetic, or more, than I did as a teenager.

So stay tuned for my next post, and here’s to your wellness and happiness!

I welcome your comments and questions.
